I typed “paranormal holland michigan” into Google today and I found a ghost hunting story in the local paper from 2008. Entitled, “Field Guide to Ghosts” by Stephen Kloosterman, the story ran in the Holland Sentinel. The Holland area, and West Michigan in general, is known for its strong Christian conservative leaning, so I was a little surprised to find the story. Since Holland is also my home town, I thought I should put up a link.
